In the Iron Chef program, students participate in weekly cook offs using recipes provided by the Regent Park Community Health Centres’ Diabetes Clinic. Participants build teamwork and budgeting skills as they work in groups to purchase ingredients and cook their meals. The Iron Chef program is a great opportunity for youth who want to gain experience in the food industry. This program is developed and lead by Pathways to Education and delivered in partnership with MLSE LaunchPad to include a sport component that promotes a healthy active lifestyle.
