The Young Women’s Group provides young women with the opportunity to explore their rights, power and identities as young women growing up in a complex society where gender norms are constantly being pushed, reinforced and recreated in a safe environment that they can express and explore feelings, goals, and concerns as young women. Youth participate in workshops and activities that explore physical literacy, leadership, teamwork, public speaking and volunteerism. This program is developed and lead by Pathways to Education and delivered in partnership with MLSE LaunchPad to include a sport component that promotes a healthy active lifestyle.
